LOS ANGELES — In the wake of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year, actor Joshua Jackson has made a heartfelt gesture to bring comfort and joy to his 4-year-old daughter, Juno, amidst significant loss. The fires, which tore through parts of Southern California in January 2025, resulted in the destruction of Jackson’s childhood home in Topanga Canyon a place steeped in cherished memories.
Despite the emotional challenges, Jackson concentrated on what was most important: ensuring stability and happiness for his daughter, whom he shares with ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith. In their temporary home, Jackson surprised Juno by transforming her bedroom into a vibrant “rainbow room,” fulfilling one of her dreams and providing a cheerful escape from the upheaval.

The redesigned room boasts multicolored striped walls, a sky-blue ceiling that evokes a clear day, and soft foam flooring perfect for playtime. In a conversation with People, Jackson revealed that the inspiration stemmed from Juno’s affinity for colors and her desire for a space that felt magical. He also expressed gratitude to the landlords of their temporary residence for permitting the bold transformation.
“This is her room, her dream, and her moment to feel safe and excited again,” Jackson stated. “After everything we’ve faced, it’s about giving her something to smile about.”
While the loss of his childhood home weighed heavily on him, Jackson views this new chapter as a chance to rebuild with intent. “I’m looking forward to creating a new house that doesn’t carry all of Daddy’s history one that is for her and me,” he said. “A fresh start, built with intention.”

Jackson and Turner-Smith, who welcomed Juno in April 2020, finalized their divorce amicably in October 2023. Despite their separation, the former couple remains committed to co-parenting their daughter, focusing on her happiness and well-being.
As the Jackson family embarks on the journey of rebuilding both physically and emotionally the rainbow room serves as a powerful emblem of resilience, love, and hope in the face of adversity.
