New Insights from Wahi

TORONTO, ON – A new report from real estate platform Wahi reveals which neighborhoods in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are seeing homes fly off the market faster than ever.

Market Highlights in Raymerville

In Markham’s Raymerville community, the average home is selling in just 10 days, despite prices hovering around $1.4 million. The rapid turnover in this suburb has caught the attention of market analysts as buyers compete for limited inventory.

Fast-Selling Neighborhoods in Toronto

Meanwhile, five Toronto neighborhoods are also leading the charge with lightning-fast sales. Homes in Allenby, Broadview North, Fallingbrook, Sunnylea, and Thistletown all sold within an average of 11 days during the final quarter of 2024.

Additional Quick-Sale Areas

East York’s Parkview-Topham Park neighborhood also made the top tier, alongside Blue Grass Creek in Whitby and Milliken Mills West in Markham. Each of these communities reported an average of just 13 days on the market.

Contrasting Markets: Fast vs. Slow Sales

The fast pace of home sales in these areas stands in contrast to slower markets like Burlington, where properties can remain listed for 57 to 63 days. That slower tempo may give buyers more negotiating power when it comes to pricing.

Expert Analysis on Market Trends

Experts say these numbers reflect ongoing demand in family-friendly, transit-accessible areas, especially as borrowing rates begin to stabilize and more buyers return to the market.
